| Pakistan marked 2007 as its 60th Year of Independence. TCF celebrated accordingly, to express its gratitude and solidarity with the Nation. In an exciting employee-driven initiative, the organization’s Human Resources and Marketing Departments, as well as the Earthquake Relief team initiated a plan to distribute 1000 flags to 1000 homes in Karachi. As soon as the idea was launched, TCF saw a coming together of the entire organization - representatives from each department joined hands to celebrate the country’s Independence Day. |
About 15 different localities of the city were selected. TCF employees volunteered and were provided with transportation. They were cheered on by the residents of the neighborhoods who saw them distributing flags and greeting tag-cards. In the words of an employee, “Not only did this opportunity create a sense of solidarity between us but it also re-energized us for the cause and the purpose we are working for.”
TCF now is a movement across Pakistan and TCF realizes it would be nowhere without the support of fellow Pakistani citizens. It is their trust in TCF that is enabling the Organization to propel a positive change.

| Training is an essential part of the TCF Education Program for the continual development of its faculty. The highlight of this year’s In-Service training were the sessions of our USA-based volunteer trainers and a special training by Society of International Education (SIE) for the English Language Teachers (ELTs) of TCF. SIE conducted 25 hours of a training course for about 250 ELTs all over Pakistan. This training program was sponsored by SCB and focused on a detailed language course. |

TCF has been engaged in spreading literacy to that adult populace, which belongs to areas where TCF already has a presence.
