| A two year successful reconstruction and rehabilitation program is nearing its completion. More than 2000 families have not only been provided with permanent houses, they have also found a new sense of pride and ownership in building their own homes. Many have gained a skill-set through the capacity building and training program of TCF, which has enabled local folks to get employment. 8,500 residents in over twenty (20) villages now have running water and do not need to travel long distances to get this basic necessity. |

| TCF has also made 19 Primary Schools operational in various locations in the Earthquake |

affected areas across NWFP and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK). Although a few of these schools are in their final stages of completion, they have been made operational so that children do not lose out on their academic year.
People have been mobilized to take ownership, manage and run their own resources and work together to become more sustainable communities through our Village Reconstruction Committee Formation Program. With more people getting employment, restarting their jobs and teachers and staff being hired in TCF schools, the economy of the area has also benefited.
